The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omicron Eta Lambda Chapter (referred to herein as the “OHL”, “we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Chapter”) respects individual privacy. We have established this privacy policy to explain what information we collect through our website and the uses and protections of that information. This policy applies to our website located at ohlalphas.org, ohlalpha1906.com, and ohlalpha1906.celect.org.

Cookies and IP Addresses

To advance our National Programs and Special Initiatives, and to provide you with a more user-friendly experience on our website, we automatically collect some information and allow some tracking to take place. The information that we collect with these automated methods may include information such as cookie information, browser type, and referring URL. Our website uses cookies for these reasons:

  1. You don’t have to reenter information on donation pages,
  2. We can evaluate and improve the website based on user experience, and
  3. We can facilitate outreach based on your interests.

Security

We take steps to protect information collected online from unauthorized access and improper use. We are fully compliant with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and do not maintain debit or credit card information on our server. Other personally identifiable information, such as your name and address, is stored on a secure third-party server which is managed by us. Access to our network is restricted to active members of the Chapter.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under age 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under age 13. If we become aware that we have collected any personal information from children under 13, we will promptly delete that information.
